FRITSCH is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026. The founder, Alois Fritsch, began distributing agricultural machinery in 1926 in Wiese, located in what is now the Czech Republic. After the Second World War, he relocated to Markt Einersheim in Lower Franconia, where he continued to build the company at its current headquarters.
With great courage, Alois Fritsch ventured into the bakery technology business and, in 1954, met the needs of bakers of the time with the development of the ROLLFIX dough sheeter. Just a few years after its introduction, the ROLLFIX was selling 40 units per month and became an immediate success story. Even today, it remains an important part of the company’s machine portfolio.
Innovation as a Constant Companion
This innovative spirit continued to drive FRITSCH in the following years and decades, leading to further technological milestones. In the 1980s, the company entered the industrial production sector with the introduction of the first modular systems for industrial lines under the name IMPRESSA.
In the croissant segment, the servo-driven bending robot CBS has enabled fully automated production of a wide variety of product shapes since 2012, including fully closed, round-bent variants.
We are particularly proud of the still-unique MULTITWIST. Far more than just a pretzel-twisting machine, this outstanding system produces pretzels, ring-shaped products, single-strand braids, knots, and much more, fully automatically, with reliable production, and at outputs of up to 20,000 pieces per hour.
