Job Title: Technical Project Coordinator
State: NJ or any other unanticipated locations/worksites throughout the US
Provide technical support for new customer projects for large industrial Production machines used in the bakery industry to produce a wide variety of baked goods including Croissants, Pretzels, Pizza Pastries, Danish, Donuts, Artisan Bread and Ciabatta. Determine how to transform handcrafted baking processes to mass production using industrial machinery. Provide project support through the order and construction of large industrial baking machines. Provide recommendations on equipment required for new customer projects including coiling units for croissants, punching devices, type of Guillotine, make-up equipment for pastry products. Prepare quotations for customers with extensive communications with the factory in Germany. Visit customer locations to perform on-site inspections (floor space requirements, ceiling clearance, power, etc.). Review customer orders to ensure equipment meets requirements. Coordinate factory production of equipment. Make daily contact with customers and parent company in Germany to oversee timeline and manufacturing steps. Co-ordinate shipping of equipment from Europe. Co-ordinate customer installation and initial use of the equipment using staff from parent company in Germany Schedule Installation timeframe, duration and team size. Communicate required steps for installations between customer and assembly team. Schedule team for production start-up. Provide customer support post-delivery, which includes coordinating warranty support (both spare parts and warranty labor support). Investigate warranty reports, determine if warranty can be granted and execute warranty orders. Schedule technical visit for warranty cases. Monitor availability and installation of spare parts at US employer to support North American market; spare parts sales, local inventory and specialty parts for certain Bakery Machines. Organize technical service support. Organize technical visits for repair, trouble shooting, warranty work, technical line check-ups with local technicians, service partner or technicians from parent company in Europe. Visit customer site as needed for serious problems, e.g. Mitsubishi PLC issues, LENZE Servo Drive problems, malfunctions and specialty equipment including MULTITWIST, Croissant bending. Communicate with the parent company in Germany on the performance of equipment at customer locations in North America. Set up of trade shows. Set up of equipment at main headquarters. Use AutoCAD to perform duties. Install, program and maintain bakery machinery used for Pretzel Twisting Robots, Industrial Croissant bending robots, High Output Impressa Industrial Sheeting Bread Lines, High Output Industrial Croissant lines. Program Siemens and Mitsubishi PLC systems. Engage in electrical wiring and fault finding for large industrial bakery machine. Operate and fault finding for bread sheeting lines with capacities over 2 tons per hour. Train operators and maintenance staff on these bakery Lines; and Monitor service and spare part department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Must have completed a 3 year Electrical apprenticeship in industrial bakery machinery and have 4 years of experience in the job offered or 4 years of experience in the Related Occupation. Hours and Travel: Candidate must be able to work on weekends on a regular basis; must work away from home for up to 3 weeks at a time; and must travel extensively throughout North America and Europe to service clients as and when needed.
Electronic/Service Technician or any other job title performing the following: Providing field service to trouble shoot technical problems at company lines worldwide. Providing technical support during machine start-up with company bakers on customer sites, learned about different products and how to handle them. Providing recommendations on equipment required for new customer projects including coiling units for croissants, punching devices, type of Guillotine, make-up equipment for pastry products. Use of equipment, maintenance and sanitation. Visiting customer site as needed for serious problems, e.g. Mitsubishi PLC issues, LENZE Servo Drive problems, malfunctions and specialty equipment including MULTITWIST, Croissant bending. Setting up of trade shows; Setting up of equipment at main headquarters; Using AutoCAD to perform duties; Installing, programming and maintaining bakery machinery used for Pretzel Twisting Robots, Industrial Croissant bending robots, High Output Impressa Industrial Sheeting Bread Lines, High Output Industrial Croissant lines; Programming Siemens and Mitsubishi PLC systems; Engaging in electrical wiring and fault finding for large industrial bakery machine; Operating and fault finding for bread sheeting lines with capacities over 2 tons per hour; and Demonstrate operation and maintenance on these bakery Lines.
